Furikake is a lightly salted Japanese condiment meant to be sprinkled on various rice dishes. It’s usually not spiced to be hot, but simply to add flavor to the rice. It’s sort of the Japanese salt and pepper, and includes various seasonings to add variety to your food.

Soy sauce has become a staple in Asian cooking, and its unique flavor has spanned across continents to become world renowned. It’s generally got a salty taste, famous for adding flavor to normally flavorless rice.
