Nissin Products
Nissin is a multi-billion dollar Japanese company with a large product base of Japanese foods and instant meals such as Top Ramen and Cup of Noodles. They operate 29 plants in 11 countries, and have employees in excess of 20,000 people.
Nissin is famous for pioneering the idea of instant noodles just after the end of WWII. The idea of instant noodles came about in order to make a food that could be eaten, transported, and stored very easily. The first flavor invented was Chicken Ramen. The noodles had rocky beginnings as the cost of fresh fish was initially cheaper than the instant noodles, but the idea caught on soon, and never lost its momentum.
