San-X Products
San-X is a popular Japanese company that was made famous for the unique and endearing characters it created, such as Kappa Cactus or Baby Boo. Originally, most of the companies products were not based on characters, but stationary and office supplies with beautiful imagery.
The company was founded in 1932 under the name Chida Handler. The name was made San-X in 1973 as they began to turn its focus toward character based merchandise.
Products
San-X produces many other items such as Stickers, Bento Boxes, and Tote Bags, many of which have their famous characters across each one. Its widespread popularity in Japan has been incredible. Some of the San-X characters have inspired mangas, been the basis for television shows, and been in video games as well as children's books.
