Directions

  1. Leave spare ribs in big flat pieces and cut into individual ribs after cooking. Place meat in a shallow dish.
  2. In small bowl, combine hoisin, oyster sauce, soy sauces, and garlic. Add mixture to meat and marinate in refrigerator, covered, for 2 hours. Turn occasionally.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 1 or 2 cooking sheets with aluminum foil. Place a meat rack on the cookie sheet. Roast meat for 30 min.
  4. Brush with honey and water mixture, turn over and brush other side, and then roast for another 25-30 min, or until ribs begin shrinking and internal temp reaches 160°F.
  5. Remove and cool briefly before serving. If pork isn't cooking quickly enough, you can broil for about 5 minutes before turning them over.

For more garlicky flavor, add extra garlic when brushing pork with honey. If you need a sub for honey, try using brown sugar or corn syrup.
