Not good. The main problem with this is the black rice powder. It makes these harder and more dried out than the other mochi available on this site. The other mochi are soft and squishy, but these are chewy and dried out. And the taste is not good. The inside filling has a nice flavor, but the outside is bad. Tell the product maker of this product to use regular (white) glutinous rice powder.

These mochi are such a delight! The single-serve packages are adorable. Upon opening them, the mochi are wrapped and powdered in a way that really does make them look like little chestnuts. The paste inside has a very mild nutty taste, and it melds very well with the flavor of the rice cake itself. Thumbs up on these, although red bean will always be my favorite. :)

Mochi is delicious in most flavors. This flavor is not one of them. Yuck.

these are good if you like mochi balls, I think the red bean are better but my daughter likes the chestnut best.

This sounded delicious when I was reading about it, but when I ordered it, it tasted terrible.
