Product Recipe

CHOW MEIN SEASONING MIX

  • 1 package Kikkoman Chow Mein Seasoning Mix

  • 1/2 pound boneless pork, chicken or beef,* sliced into thin strips

  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil

  • 1 carrot, julienned

  • 1 onion, sliced

  • 2 oz. fresh snow peas

  • 1/4 pound fresh bean sprouts

  • 2 cups (4 oz.) crisp chow mein noodles

Directions:

  1. Dissolve mix in 1/2 cup water; set aside

  2. Stir-fry meat in hot oil in wok or large skillet 2 minutes.

  3. Add carrot, onion and snow peas; stir-fry 1 minute.

  4. Add bean sprouts, stir-fry 1 minute.

  5. Add seasoning mixture.

  6. Cook and stir until mixture boils and thickens and is thoroughly mixed.

  7. Pour meat and vegetables over chow mein noodles; toss to combine before serving.

  8. Makes 2-3 servings

*If using beef, stir-fry 1 minute; remove from wok and return with seasoning mixture
