Why is it so HARD to find a pure, clean product (especially when it's from Japan) - this wasabi powder, touted as REAL Wasabi, has NO Wasabi in it and then there is the ever present sugar and 4 food colorings. Still, it's cleaner than the other choices from this grocer. Here's a cheaper way to get that lovely spicy taste for your sashimi or sushi: buy some unadulterated horse radish (not that easy to find either), some mustard (I like dijon) and some organic tamari and make your own - claudia wolfe

This wasabi powder is wonderfully potent, and stores for a several weeks in a sealed container in the fridge after prepared. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves their wasabi! :)
