Black shirataki Yam Cake is made of the same stuff that Black Shirataki noodles are made of, except it comes in a block form instead of the noodle shape. This allows you to form it in whatever shape you’d like, whether it be strips for lasagna, or thicker noodles for alfredo, or even ravioli, it’s up to you! Like other shirataki, it has no flavor on its own, but will take on the flavor of whatever it’s prepared with. It’s low in carbs and calories, and has no sodium, cholesterol, fat, or sugar, making it an ideal ingredient for a meal that tastes great, but is good for you too.
*To parboil: Boil water in a pot and add a pinch of salt (optional); add the Shirataki Noodles and quick-boil for about 5 minutes. Drain and rinse.
