I was not quite expecting the level of tartness they have since I had never tried them, but after a couple more nibbles became quite hooked on them. There is usually one on my plate whenever I cook Japanese style food for myself, I enjoy eating a few bites of my meal, then a nibble of the plum, then a few more bites of what I'm eating. It refreshes the flavors of the different dishes quite nicely, and there are an amazing amount of these little tidbits packed in the jar.
