This instant udon noodle makes a hefty meal. These noodles are kept in a sealed pack, unlike dry ramen, and plumps up when cooked in hot water. This pack comes in a savory beef flavor, making a broth which complements the thick slippery noodles.

Add a few vegetables or some leftover chicken, shrimp, steak bits...whatever you may have and you have a very tasty meal. (hint: a fresh egg cracked into a steaming bowl just before serving makes the broth incredibly rich and thick!)With the addition of just a little bit of veggies or meat, or even just that egg, this can easily be a meal. I've often split a packet with someone and made a meal of it with a half sandwich and few pickles on the side. It is very filling!
The broth base has a very rich beef flavor without tasting to overly much like bullion, it's closer to the flavor of a liquid stock despite it being a powdered packet. I like to toss a bit of cilantro, some meat and veggies in this and make a meal out of it, the cilantro somehow gives a very good complimentary tart flavor. My cousin (who insists it's incredibly) has put a few drops of A1 or Tonkatsu sauce in his before, I have not been quite that brave yet!
