First, I was surprised at the size of the sugar "rocks" in that I was expecting small rock sugar one can spoon into coffee or tea. This rock sugar was so huge that they were literally... rock sized... as in one of the rocks was so big it took up the entire palm of my hand.
Not knowing how I was supposed to break up these giant literal rocks to fit them into my tea, fortunately I found some smaller fragments had come off the rocks at the bottom. First off, there is a strange taste to this sugar that leads me to wonder if it isn't fully sugar. It does not taste anything like what I have grown to expect from any rock sugars I've used over the years and had a very strange aftertaste.
Second, after using the rock sugar and placing it in the tea I have consumed for years, about 20 minutes after consumption I felt sick to my stomach, flushed, felt very shaky and my throat has been very, very sore the rest of the day. I'm scared wondering what else was in this stuff other than what was listed on the side of the box.
