Crab Stew

Nutritional Information

This is a well rounded, tasty stew with plump vegetables and tender, juicy pieces of crabmeat. It is flavored with red and white miso and offers up a delicious, well balanced meal.

Ingredients

  • 9 oz Spinach
  • 2 Leeks
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 Enoki Mushrooms (packet)
  • 4 Crab Shells
  • 1 tsp Sake
  • 3.5 pnt Fish Stock
  • 2 tbsp Red Miso
  • 3 tbsp White Miso
  • 14 oz Dressed Crabmeat
  • 1 Raddish (white)

Directions

  • 1. Cut crabmeat into bite-sized portions.
  • 2. Peel radish. Wash leeks and spinach. Slice raddish thinly, and leeks into 1 inch long julienne slices. Fry leek and radish in hot oil for a few minutes.
  • 3. Cut stems from mushrooms. Wash.
  • 4. Take kanimiso out of crab shell, dilute with sake. Stir a little red and white miso together with some stock.
  • 5. Add to sauce pan. Add remaining miso and fish stock. Boil. Do not overcook. Add crabmeat and vegetables to the stock. Boil. When vegetables are tender, serve.
