These fantastic steamed buns are filled with juicy shrimp and seasoned with garlic and ginger. If you like, try dipping them in your favorite dipping sauce for added flavor.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lbs Bean Sprouts (rinsed, drained and chopped)
- 1/4 lbs Medium Shrimp (shelled, deveined dried and chopped)
- 2 Green Onions and Tops (chopped)
- 1 Garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1/2 tsp Ginger (ground)
- 1 can Refrigerated biscuits
Directions
- 1. Combine bean sprouts, shrimps, green onions, garlic, cornstarch, soy sauce and ginger in 1-1/2 quart square dish with lid
- 2. Mircrowave uncovered on high for 6 minutes or until vegetables are tender-crisp, stirring once
- 3. Divide biscuit dough into 10 pieces
- 4. Flatten each biscuit into 3-1/2 inch round (flour hands if dough is sticky)
- 5. Place about 2 tbsp shrimp mixture in center of each round
- 6. Bring edges together to enclose filling
- 7. Sealing securley, by pinching edges together
- 8. Place half of the filled buns on a 6 or 7 inch ceramic plate
- 9. Set plate in bottom of 1-1/2 quart dish
- 10. Ad 1/4 cup of hot water to the bottom of dish
- 11. Microwave on high for five minutes until cooked
- 12. Repeat with remaining buns
- 13. For best result, use steam rack. Serve hot
