Details
The Tie Guan Yin Green Tea is a close variant to the “Monkey’s Pick” Tea – sometimes the two are synonymous. However, this brand’s Tie Guan Yin Green Tea differentiates from Monkey’s Pick Green Tea in that it has a stronger floral aroma – not unlike Jasmine – and a sweet and spicy aftertaste. Tie Guan Yin translates to “Iron Goddess” and its origin of the name can be traced back to Scholar Wang, who discovered a tea plant beneath a Guanyin (Buddha) rock in Xioping, China. Each box contains a bag of Tie Guan Yin loose leaves. Simply pour tea into a tea strainer, steep for 1-2 minutes, and the tea can be served by itself without any additives. This also makes for a great gift for the holidays!
